3 Ingredient DIY Coffee Scrub for Cellulite

Lots of us store weight in our thighs. What can I say, we are lucky that way!

And while permanent solutions for breaking up cellulite that builds up on thighs can be costly, this cellulite erasing coffee scrub recipe is not.

I have just started using this coffee scrub recipe and I adore it, because it offers so many benefits and can actually reduce the appearance of cellulite and reveal glowing, firm skin.

Let’s take a look at the ingredients. This helps explain how this cellulite erasing coffee scrub works so you can get a better idea of what you have to look forward to by using it!

Ingredients:
1 cup of unused coffee grounds, decaf won’t work, caffeinated only. (found here)
1 cup of white or brown sugar (found here)
1/2 cup of coconut oil (found here)

The benefits of using coffee:
Coffee is perfect for this scrub because the caffeine helps perk up skin, tighten it, and acts as a stimulant to reveal healthier skin.

You will notice the regular use of this scrub will give you some color since the coffee for lack of a better word “stains” the skin, giving it a light glow.

The benefits of sugar:
Your sugar choice (white or brown) acts as an exfoliate, removing dead skin revealing brighter skin below.

The sugar also helps stimulate and break up toxins in the skin which can cause the “bumpy” look thighs often take on.

The benefits of coconut oil:
Last but not least, the coconut oil will moisturize skin and feed it valuable nutrients. Coconut oil softens skin, hydrates, and can even help reduce the appearance of scars.

Now, let’s talk about how to make this 3 Ingredient DIY Coffee Scrub for Cellulite!

1. Just get out a mixing bowl and wooden spoon, then add all of your ingredients to the bowl.

2. Mix and mash well until your ingredients are thoroughly blended.

3. If you are not going to use your scrub right away, store it in an air tight container. There is no need to refrigerate it.

First you will notice how amazing this coffee scrub smells. Then you will notice how smooth it feels.

Resist the urge to just start slathering it on right then and there. Once it is mixed well your scrub is ready to be enjoyed.

Here is how to use your scrub:

– You want to use this coffee scrub in the shower since it can make a mess.
– Just apply a generous amount of scrub to wet skin and massage in a circular motion for 30-45 seconds.
– Focus on any areas where dead skin and cellulite build up seem to be a problem.
– Feel free to do the rest of your legs while you are down there. The scrub will remove dead skin, nourish skin, and even give you a gorgeous glow.
– Rinse well with warm water.

Can you use this coffee scrub elsewhere? Sure! Just take care when using around the face or eyes.

Do not use on sensitive areas. Always test a small patch of skin prior to use to rule out any allergic reactions that may occur.

Use this 2-3 times a week for best results. If you wish, you can follow up your treatment with some dry brushing.

Dry brushing is a great way to continue stimulating the skin, break up toxins, and remove dry skin. Here is the dry brush I use. More details on this to come soon!
