Positive Mold Technology
Positive molding is a superior manufacturing technology that has been adopted for original equipment (O.E.) brake pads.
Unlike the flash mold process, a positive mold press directs heat and pressure to each cavity separately to ensure consistent compressibility when forming the brake pad which is a key factor in brake noise reduction.
Friction formulations used in this process require less resin material, resulting in a more robust brake pad that resists heat fade for better performance.
By maintaining consistent friction compressibility brake pads will operate quieter, produce less dust and have a longer service life.
SCORCHED
This process involves extreme heat and pressure, it will help to give the pad’s an increased ability to bed and transfer a layer of friction material to the rotor. This means less time is needed to be spent test driving the vehicle to seat the pad after installation.
